Trinity Explores Brown's The Da Vinci Code: Facts and Fiction Print E-mail

We held a five-week sermon/seminar series at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1500 Park Blvd., in West Sacramento, on historical/cultural issues from Dan Brown's blockbuster novel, The Da Vinci Code, about to be released in film worldwide. All historical/mystery fiction is based on some fact. Brown knows his genre and how to hook an audience. Part of what Brown has written is confirmable fact, but much of it is fiction. Can you tell which parts are which? We’ll look at both where the church has blown it as well as where Brown has 'fudged the facts' using the Bible, church and art history as our guides. We promise you an entertaining series that will give you the information you need to intelligently discuss The Da Vinci Code with your questioning friends.

The series is over, but you can still listen to the messages. Browse them all on the podcast website or choose individual talks below.
